6 November In the wake of the cancellation of Spa World Rallycross Benelux, the FIA confirms that the final round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship for Supercar will be switched from the Belgian event to World RX of Germany at the Nurburgring in December. The European Championships need to be run over at least three rounds in order to be awarded a championship title, so the move protects the status of the Supercar series. The Super1600 championship is also on the bill in Germany.

Between 1977 and 1984 he notched up two national titles a pair of Volvo Cup victories and around 40 event wins. All of this at the wheel of a Volvo PV 544, a car that endeared him to fans, particularly in his native north of Sweden. “Grus-Kalle” died in 1986 aged just 41.
