Porsche in rallycross

It’s no secret that we love a Porsche around here, and Porsche in rallycross is even better. They are still out there at national level, but internationally the 1993 rule change brought the end of the road for Porsche in top-level rallycross. The last FIA title came courtesy of Matti Alamaki in 1985.
Porsche is intrinsically linked with the history of rallycross; Vic Elford won the first ever rallycross event in a 911 and the model then went on to be used with enormous success by many rallycross drivers at national and international levels.
For no particular reason other than the fact that it seems like a Good Thing, here’s a gallery of Porsche pics to set you up for the weekend.
