Can Erik Larsson walk in the shoes of his father Ronny and his older brother Johan? The 21-year-old from Götene in Sweden has set his focus on the 2012 ERC. After starting his career with Karting and later competing in national Rallycross events as well as in Circuit Racing (with a KHM Citroën C2) the Swede is aiming for an international Rallycross programme now.

“My whole life has been a preparation for this venture. 2011 was a very quiet season for me, after I started doing motorsports at the age of 12. However, I have a pretty clear picture of all things to come. The major aim is to stay on the starting grid of next year’s ERC season opener with a competitive car. I’m looking forward to a busy winter with lots of planning and work,” claims the youngster who finished the 2008 Swedish Junior Rallycross Championship with a Peugeot 106 S16 as 8th overall. In 2010 Erik drove the Super1600 Citroën C2 of his brother Johan on invitation to a fine third place in the October Rallycross event at the Lyngås Motorbane in Norway.
