Binks Czechs out ERC finale

David Binks will drive an OMSE Fiesta in the final round of the European Rallycross Championship at Sosnová in the Czech Republic next weekend. The British championship racer has been given the ERC shot by backer Best Buy, the outing made possible following the cancellation of the seventh round of the British series to be held at Mallory Park.

Binks will join Tanner Foust in the OMSE squad with which he has enjoyed working since moving from his privately run team last month. “I haven’t been to Sosnová before but [team boss] Andréas Eriksson tells me that the Ford Fiesta goes well at the track and that it should suit my style. It is another great opportunity to benchmark myself in the new team. It is such a difference racing with OMSE, not just the performance of the car but also how the team operates, the attention to detail and the knowledge that Andréas has. I feel like I learn and develop every time I go out in the car and am working on my mental approach to reach the next level. Best Buy has opened lots of doors for me and these are really exciting times,” said Binks.
