Team briefing

After the first free practice session the OMSE team with American racer Tanner Foust behind the steering wheel had a detailed team briefing. The time of Foust, 47.315, was closely examined with team boss Andréas Eriksson. Every corner and section was discussed during this early team meeting at the sunny racing track in Słomczyn (Poland). Foust was, with the Ford Fiesta a little bit less than 2 seconds slower than Frenchman Davy Jeanney in the Citroën C4. Jeanney was the fastest and Foust ninth in the first free practice. “It’s a search for grip on this track,” says team principle Andréas Eriksson. “The car seems to be working good. In this section you win some and in this corner you loose some time.” Foust reacts laughing: “So it all has to come from the driver then?” The answer from Eriksson was: “Could be. You did a good run for the first time being here. Let see what the second free practice brings.”

With all times a little bit slower in the second free practice Foust climbs up one place to eighth position. His time was 47.329. Fastest man on the track with the Supercars is Sverre Isachsen now swapping place with Jeanney. Jeanney tipped a 46.068 and Isachsen a 45.976.
