Fabien Pailler, son of Jean-Luc, claims his first FRC overall victory.

Round 8 of the French Rallycross Championship was held in front of about 30,000 spectators on September 3 and 4 at the Circuit de Lohéac at the tiny village of Lohéac near Rennes in Brittany. After series runner-up Jérôme Grosset-Janin got stuck in the B final it looked as if championship leader Samuel Peu would claim his fourth overall victory, the Peugeot campaigner having qualified for the pole of the A final. However, immediately after the GO Fabien Pailler shot into the lead and eventually was able to score his first ever Division 1 overall victory. The battle in the wake of the son of Jean-Luc Pailler was intense and at the end of the chase towards the chequered flag it was Gaëtan Sérazin who became the runner-up, ahead of Samuel Peu and Belgian guest driver François Duval in the Peugeot 207 of Pailler Compétition.

Steven Bossard had won the Division 1A main finals of all five attended 2011 FRC rounds, but this time the young Citroën C2 campaigner was beaten by Julien Fébreau in the older Citroën Saxo model. After Bossard suffered a puncture he lost his second position and dropped down the order to eventually become fifth behind David Olivier, Fabien Chanoine and Laurent Chartrain. While in Division 3 Marc Morize bagged his fourth 2011 victory in the Division 4 it was FRC returnee Rudolf Schafer who, after a one year’s absence from the series, performed a remarkable comeback by winning the A final with his new built Citroën Saxo.
