Brit takes Impreza for ‘Last Chance’.

Liam Doran has made a late entry for the third round of the Global Rallycross Championship in the US which begins later today at Pikes Peak International in Colorado. The Monster Energy athlete has put together a deal at the eleventh hour to drive an ex-Kenny “Cowboy” Bartram Subaru Impreza in the event which is billed as the ‘Last Chance’ in recognition of its status as the final opportunity for drivers to try and qualify for an invitation to the X Games 17.

Last winter Doran had hoped to be able to have one of KHM’s Citroën C4s based in the US this summer and to be able to drive in all three Global events, but his crash at Lydden in March put an end to that idea.

Competitive action starts with the Super Rally event from 1300 today, the event continuing with the Rallycross proper from 1410 tomorrow (Colorado MDT which is six hours behind Central European Summer Time and seven hours behind British Summer Time).
