Perkiömäki and Peltokangas winning on full tarmac Kemora track.
The second round of the Finnish Rallycross Championship was held on Saturday May 28 at the Kemoran Moottorirata at Veteli, a circuit that has, also for Rallycross events, only a full tarmac track available. After a mixed weather conditions racing day with some rainfalls as well as bright sunshine the Supercar A final was won by Ari Perkiömäki in his Ford Fiesta ST. Runner-up became the winner of the first round at Kouvola, Sami Pakkala (Honda Civic Type-R), while the third place was claimed by Jukka Lautamäki (Ford Focus).
Jussi-Petteri Leppihalme, the teenage protégé of triple European champion Jussi Pinomäki, used the Kemora event as practice for the coming Norwegian ERC round at Hell and finished with the Set Promotion Super1600 Renault Clio surprisingly enough as sixth overall of the Supercars category. Victory of the SRC main final went to Jukka-Pekka Peltokangas and his Series 7 Ford Escort.
