Win and points lead for Holte

Volvo man gets first win. Enerberg still unbeaten. Bossard takes home win.

Frode Holte took his first ERC victory and made the whole thing look rather easy. Leading the A final from start to finish, Holte led home compatriot Mats Lysen, who claimed his best Supercar result to date in a strong performance that saw him grab second place in the last lap as Liam Doran took his Joker. Doran shrugged off a late challenge from team mate Timur Timerzyanov on the exit of the Joker Lap section to take third. With Tanner Foust going out of the A final after fumbling the Joker Lap route in the first lap and hitting the fence, the race has shuffled the points order, the third different winner of the year leapfrogging to the top of the table with Foust and Doran sharing second place just three points behind. Champion and erstwhile points leader Sverre Isachsen, meanwhile, was stuck in the B final where he finished second to Michaël De Keersmaecker.

There was another Norwegian winner in TouringCar where Lars Øivind Enerberg claimed his third win of the year. Derek Tohill beat the Norwegian to turn one and led until the top corner in the first lap when both spun. Enerberg managed to rejoin without losing too much time, and then made good use of the Joker Lap to climb the order and finally take the win from B final winner Koen Pauwels and Per Magne Røyrås. Tohill’s car misfired when he rejoined and he placed sixth.

Steven Bossard won the Super1600 A final, the young Frenchman continuing his amazing run of victories. Andreas Bakkerud was close enough to challenge in the opening laps but soon adopted a safe strategy and settled for second place, as good as a win to him as Bossard is not in the ERC battle. Veteran campaigner Jaroslav Kalný brought his Peugeot 207 through from the B final to place third.
