Kuijpers, Snoeijers, Kasse and Maris Jr. claimed the wins.

Rain in the morning and sunshine for the rest of the day. At the start of the first heat the rain and a quickly drying track – and the waiting time for the start made the tyre choice all but an easy one during the second round for the Dutch championship.

“Rain Tyres. Maybe after all for me not the best choice,” said Belgian Davy Van Den Branden after the first heat of the Super1600 class. Peter van de Wege was racing in heat number one on a new set of Michelin rain tyres under his Toyota Yaris. “I scored the the fastest timem, what more can I say?” It brought Van de Wege after three heats the pole position of the Super1600 category. Beside him in the A final Marcel Snoeijers in the Renault Clio and Davy Van Den Branden in the Citroën C2. Van de Wege took the lead, drifted a bit outside in the first corner and was passed by Snoeijers. The new Joker Lap section did put Van de Wege a few laps later back to third place. Van Den Branden moved up to second position. Leo van der Eijk (Mini Cooper) was in the opening of the A final close to the top three, until the moment he got a puncture. Willem Veltman scored a fifth place behind Pedro Cokelaere.

The Supercars event was a battle for victory between Patrick Mechelen in the Subaru Impreza and Jos Kuijpers in the Ford Fiesta. Kuijpers in the lead took an early Joker. Kuijpers then was third behind Wil Teurlings in the Volvo S40. Kuijpers got to second and into ‘attack mode’. Van Mechelen took the Joker Lap route with its gravel and… came out just a meter too short to stay ahead of Kuijpers’ Fiesta. Kuijpers: “I had to push very hard and one meter was just enough to win.”

In the TouringCar class there was the first win for the 18-year-old Mandy Kasse in her Opel Astra. Louis de Haas, also with Opel Astra, became second while Jos Sterkens, for the first time out with his brand new Volvo C30, third.
