Oh Lord won’t you send me a Mercedes-Benz…

On late Sunday evening European champion and current point standings leader Sverre Isachsen has send two Portuguese ‘voluntary heroes’ in a Mercedes-Benz Vito with his two engines from Montalegre to Calais. They need to reach Calais on Monday eve before 22:00h CET so that the engines can be taken to Julian Godfrey in England where they will be repaired for the French ERC round at Essay the coming weekend. According to MAP24 this is a 1740kms drive to be done in 18:20 hours…

Update of May 16 at 23:00h CET: According to our source, Montalegre press officer José Alves, who organised the ‘marathon’ to Calais, the engines arrived at their destination safe and in due time.
