24 March / The Dutch Championship began at the Eurocircuit. The Cross Car final was won by Jari van Hoof who had been the top qualifier and led the field home in his Will’oz. Pim Vlassak (LifeLive TN5) and Dylan Rolly (Speedcar Wonder) joined him on the podium. There was just one Junior starter, Thijmen Houben in his LifeLive. The Mini Buggy class boasted 18 starters with Julien Reints the top qualifier. Reints and second qualifier Daan Spies won in the semi-finals, Spies then going on to win the final. Kristof Bex was top qualifier among the Supernational+ field but lost out in the final as Yorick Maeyninckx (Volvo 240) took the win ahead of Bart Bel (BMW E30) and Bex (Volvo S40). Nick Neyens led the way in the Supernational -2000 field but in the semi-finals it was Peter van de Wege and Johan Kwinten who won. The final was then won by Steve Volders (Volvo C30) who had qualified second. Van de Wege (Toyota Yaris) and Neyens (Ford Escort MkII) completed the podium ahead of Mandy Kasse (Ford Fiesta). Norwegian visitor Johannes Rafoss (Honda Civic) was top qualifier and winner of the Super1600 final.
27 March / Hansen Motorsport confirms it will return to World RX in 2024 with Timmy and Kevin Hansen driving it’s electric Peugeots. “This season feels different in many ways, so we’re grateful to have Timmy and Kevin continuing with the team. Many people will have guessed this because we are family, but it is never guaranteed, so we feel lucky to have such strong drivers as the foundation for our team once again,” said Kenneth Hansen.
This weekend / Easter! In many places the traditional starting point for the championship year. The 5 Nations British RX series is at Lydden this weekend with two days of race action while the Hungarian championship visits Mariapocs where the event is also the season opener for the Central European Zone championship. Maggiora opens its doors for the first RX Italia event of the year.
