9 April  /  RallyX Nordic announces that it will stream all races from its 2021 season free of charge on YouTube and Facebook. The championship is scheduled to start at Nysum in Denmark on 1-2 May before moving top Holjes, Oulu Zone in Finland and concluding at Arvika in Sweden in August.

11 April  /  BORA, the Belgian Rallycross Championship organiser, publish details of a six-event schedule for its 2021 season. With no events scheduled take place at Maasmechelen this year [planning problems continue at the circuit] and the Glosso Circuit at Arendonk not yet ready to run events under the terms of its new planning consent, the position of the Belgian championship had looked bleak. With FIA consent to run more events outside of the country, organisers have now produced a schedule that visits the Eurocircuit at Valkenswaard twice and include a double-header at Buxtehude. Belgian venues Mettet and Spa-Francorchamos complete the season in November and December. The championship’s Cross Car category will also run at Toldijk in the Netherlands during the FIA European Autocross Championship event.

14 April / Three generations of the Scott family are set to take part in the 5 Nations British Rallycross Championship. After sitting out the 2019 and 2020 seasons, Andy Scott will return with a Peugeot 208 Supercar and will be joined by son Marc (RX150) and grandson Finley (Junior Rallycross). Scott’s Albatec Racing won the 2018 British Rallycross Championship with Mark Higgins driving.

14 April / Swedish racer Nils Andersson joins Kristoffersson Motorsport for his 2021 RallyX Nordic season. The 21-year-old will race in Supercar Lites in the car he raced under the TiK RX banner last year. A double crosskart champion, Andersson has already been mentored by Johan Kristoffersson so sees the move the KMS as logical. “I want to take the next step in my career, and how do you win? Well, you drive for the team that is best at winning,” he said. Gustav Bergstrom will drive a second car for the KMS outfit.
