27 February / The Grand Finals for DiRT Rally 2.0 World Series takes place in a virtual playoff. Originally scheduled to take place at Autosport International in January, the online final is broadcast with players in their own location and commentary from Motorsport Network’s Silverstone HQ. Lukas Mateja won the rally title and then made it into the final for the Rallycross title, starting fifth on the grid before moving quickly to second place. Quentin Dall’olmo led from start to finish to take the title and follow in the tracks of his brother Killian who won the series in 2020.

28 February / LA2S, the organiser at the Circuit de Lavare says that its future is in doubt because of difficulties in continuing the operation and update of the venue under the current ownership model. Lavare was not included in the calendar for the 2020 French Championship and does not feature in Rallycross France plans for 2021. The track does, however, have a long history in the French series and continues to be used for other events.

3 March / The organiser of World RX of France at Loheac posts a message on its Facebook page setting out what it sees as three scenarios for the possibility of organising its event this year and asking fans to take part in a consultation regarding Vaccination Passports.  Entirely reliant on a large number of volunteers to organise its event and operating on a venue that is almost impossible to run ‘behind closed door’, Loheac says it has no ‘economic balance’ without spectator onsite and cannot afford to cancel for a second year.
