9 February The curtain comes down on the 30th season of Andros Trophy racing with a showcase event in the Stade de France. Aurelien and Olivier Panis win the day with Franck Lagorce and Sebastien Loeb second ahead of newly crowned quadruple champion JB Dubourg who shared driving with younger brother Andrea. “What a joy to be able to ride in the stadium of France, it is a privileged moment, you feel carried by the public. I won my duel against Olivier Panis before finishing a few tenths from Franck Lagorce, once plus, we were in the game. I have no regrets. This is the first time I was competing for Super Final with my brother Andrea and we are on the third step of the podium, there is not better to finish the winter. I want to thank Frédéric Gervoson and Max Mamers for these thirty years of Andros Trophy,” said Dubourg.

11 February GRX Taneco details a three-driver line-up for its 2019 FIA World Rallycross Championship campaign. The Finnish squad will enter the second year with it’s Hyundai i20s. Niclas Gronholm and Timur Timerzyanov will be the drivers for the two-car World RX team entry. Euro RX Supercar champion Reinis Nitiss joins the team as development driver and will race a third car in selected events. “I think the competition this season will be very, very close and this year will prove to be an exciting one for drivers and spectators. Last year we built a good base to work from – all of our technical staff have remained on-board, both Niclas and Timur know the car well, and I am confident that with this package we’ll be able to fight for top positions. For further improvements we have also added a third car for several rounds with Reinis as our development driver, to help us gain data and continue the car’s evolution,” said Team Manager Jussi Pinomäki.
