American star Ken Block is set to contest three FIA World Rallycross Championship events this season at the wheel of his Hoonigan Racing Division Ford Fiesta Supercar.

The X-Games medalist will take on WorldRX series regulars in Norway (14 – 15 June), France (6 – 7 Sept) and Turkey (11 – 12 Oct) amid a diverse range of events for the Monster Energy athlete in 2014.

Block’s season kicks off this weekend on the Rally America Series’ 100 Acre Wood Rally, where he will fight for victory with drivers who have also contested rallycross events in America over the last few years,  David Higgins and Travis Pastrana.

“Once again I’ve been fortunate enough to put together a highly diverse schedule that has me going around the world,” said Block. “Most interestingly, racing in three of the World Rallycross Championship rounds for the first time ever. I’m pretty sure nobody has a better job than me this year!”

The self-titled Hoonigan is most famous for his YouTube hit sensation videos, Gymkhana, the latest of which ‘Gymkhana 6’ had 2.7 million views in it’s first day. He will also contest a full season of the GRC, Rally Spain (round of the World Rally Championship) and Monza Rally Sprint, as team mate to Valentino Rossi.

“I’m competing in the full GRC, doing a handful of Rally America events, competing in a WRC round in Spain, doing the Monza Rally Sprint for the first time ever with Valentino Rossi, returning to the Monster Energy Gymkhana GRID finale in Madrid, and heading back to Japan to do more Gymkhana demos”

Block has also released a video explaining what put him out of the Rally America Championship finale last October, see below.
