Not a cloud in sight

It’s a very cold but dry day at Montalegre, Portugal.

Liam Doran has missed free practice with clutch problems, discovered by the team as they were warming the transmission on stands in the awning. They are working hard to get him out for heat three which is about to take place.

Alexander Hvaal was disappointed with his day yesterday, battling the weather. Snow fell just before his first heat but for heat two the problem was reversed, Hvaal the only driver left on wet tyres in the penultimate race of the day as everyone else changed. A misfire slowed him in practice this morning but it was quickly fixed by the team.

Hvaals team mate Timmy Hansen is much happier today, a new set-up with the car assisting him to set second fastest time in morning warm up.
