Best Buy Mobile announced that the 2012 FIA European Rallycross Champion, Russian Timur Timerzyanov, is going to drive a Best Buy Mobile Ford Fiesta in the final round of the Global RallyCross Championship at SEMA in Las Vegas on October 30th. Mark Williams, who manages Best Buy Mobile’s rallycross program says: “When Marcus Grönholm confirmed that he wasn’t available for the race in Las Vegas SEMA, we wanted a rallycross driver of the very best calibre. We very quickly landed on Timur who dominated the 2012 European RallyCross Championship.”

Timerzyanov, who won this year six out of the ten events in the European Rallycross Championship, will make his debut in Ford and it is for the first time in the racing career of Timerzyanov that he will race in the United States. Timerzyanov is going to American Rockstar driver Tanner Foust’s home turf. Timerzyanov is determined to close the season with a win in the States. “I am excited by this opportunity to race in America and to try the Ford Fiesta that Tanner (Foust – RXW) has used against me all year,” said 25 year-old Timerzyanov. “Global RallyCross runs very different courses to those I am used to. I know that the Best Buy Mobile Ford Fiesta is a really good car, so I expect to be at the front of the field.”
