Keersmaecker on top

For the first time this year Belgian Michael de Keersmaecker put the fastest time on the clock in the second heat at the Estering. “At my home track in Maasmechelen I lost it at nine thousand of a second on  Foust. I’m very happy, but there is still one heat to go and then is there the final. W’re not there yet.” French driver Jeanny follows De Keersmaecker. Third is Peter Hedstrom.

In the Super1600 the battle was on between german driver René Munnich and the European Champion of 2011 and ’12, Norwegian Andreas Bakkerud. More then once the  Skoda Fabia of Munnich and the Renault Twingo of Bakkerud where side by side.

Fastest time however was for Teemu Suninen (FIN) followed by Jussi-Petteri Leppihalme. Third in the ranking of the second heat is Rene Munnich. Bakkerud sees himself back at place number 5. It’s Suninen who tops the leaderboard now after two heats followed by Munnich. Another Fin Joni Wiman is currently third.

Robin Larson from Sweden, fastest in the second heat, is also on top of the leaderboard after two heats. Anton Marklund (S) is second and Ole Habjorg  from Norway is third.
