Alexander Hvaal maybe out

Norwegian Alexander Hvaal can not say at this moment if he is able to compete in the two remaining ERC events, in Finland and Germany. The number three in the current standing of the European Rallycross Championship of the Supercars is ill and  has to keep bed for the at least the next couple of days. “I’m in bed now for the whole week”, says the 20-year old Norwegian, ”And the next week I have to stay in bed also the doctors told to me”.

Hvaal has a fever, a swollen liver, spleen and yellows eyes. “Racing in a Supercar is not at all an option at this moment”, says Hvaal. The Norwegian misses a race for the swedish Championship as well the competition for ‘Carsport Talent’ search of the Norwegian ASN, the NBF. In three weeks time is the penultimate round of the 2012 ERC season held in Finland. “ That is three weeks from now. I hope I can be there and defend my third place in the Supercar championship.”

The leader is in the Supercar championship is the teammate of Alexander Hvaal, Russian Timur Timerzyanov, Timerzyanov has a total of 128 points. Second in the standings is American Taner Foust with 89 points. Alexander Hvaal has 82 points. Fourth place is in the hands of Davy Jeanney with 74 points. Belgium Michael de Keersmaecker is fifth with 73 points.
