Great ideas, number 279

by Tim Whittington |

Norwegian journalist Simen Næss Hagen is a good mate of his Kongsvinger neighbour Mats Lysen but had never ridden with his friend in a Supercar until this week’s media day for ‘Rallycross in Hell’. When  the chance arose, Simen used all of his great experience of motor sport, common sense and journalistic experience to work out that conducting an interview in the car while Lysen drove around the Lånkebanen would be a great idea. Luckily for all of us, Simen also arrived at the track with a bag full of GoPro cameras and filmed himself attempting this interview. The comedic effect is helped by the fact that Simen looks a lot like James Corden, and Lysen’s ice cool poise behind the wheel as he neogotiates a couple of laps of the track while completely ignoring his passenger. “It was a good idea but Mats didn’t answer any questions,” said Simen, “When we stopped I asked him what was wrong and he said that he didn’t hear me!” You can see the video on the website of the Glåmdalen newspaper where Simen works, here

Lots of questions, no answers. In-car interview genius. © Glåmdalen/SNH/RallycrossWorld.com
