Bermingrud bowled over

Heading up the C final grid, if he gets his cars fixed, is Morten Bermingrud who had good times in the first two heats but rolled in the first corner of the third. Bermingrud’s role was the only real incident of the third heat, although the TouringCars producing a rough and tumble first corner incident in which Robin Larsson’s Skoda was stripped of some body panels. Ole Håbjørg was black flagged for his part in the incident. Larsson rejoined and continued until the engine in his car died in the last lap, his misery added to when Kim Steinsholt decided to drive over the Skoda’s  rear three-quarter panel that been lying in the road and avoided by all other drivers until the last lap. Lars Øivind Enerberg set fastest time to take pole ahead of Anton Marklund and Derek Tohill while Ulrik Linnemann got himself into the A final in sixth place thanks to fastest time in Super1600 where Jussi-Petteri Leppihalme and Ildar Rakhmatullin join Andreas Bakkerud on the front row.

Tanner Foust claimed pole position for the Supercar A final with fastest time in the third heat of ‘Rallycross in Hell’. The American had a relatively easy run in the third heat, Alexander Hvaal and Stig-Olov Walfridson his only rivals. Timur Timerzyanov set third fastest time and booked his place in the A final where he starts second, Mats Lysen completing the front row of the grid ahead of Hvaal and Walfridson. Liam Doran is the last direct qualifier, sitting on the third row and awaiting the first two drivers from the B final which has the potential to be a tough race.
