Best Buy Racing has revealed its colours for the 2012 Global Rallycross Championship, the cars of Marcus Grönholm and David Binks unveiled following a pre-season test session. Grönholm will run in the powder blue of the Best Buy Mobile brand while team mate Binks is having a purple patch with the striking colours of new backer Serve, a pre-paid reloadable card from American Express.

The two Best Buy cars are part of the five-car lineup that OMSE will run in the GRC this year but in effect team boss Andreas Eriksson is running five individual competitors and knows that his men will often be in the position of having to fight each other. “There are no team orders, I have only told the guys that I don’t want them to destroy it for each other because if they do that they will destroy it for themselves. Rallycross is not about crashing into another car, it’s about racing to the line,” said Eriksson who oversaw pre-season tests and a launch party in California last week.

Alongside the Best Buy Racing duo of Grönholm and Binks, OMSE will field Fiestas for Tanner Foust, Toomas Heikkinen and Brian Deegan, the latter having thrown down his marker early by being fastest of the group in the test sessions.

Tech House and Speed radio show host Bill Wood was at the OMSE launch and spoke to all five OMSE drivers as well as Eriksson about the forthcoming season, you can hear the show here.
