First timers

At the rallycrosstrack in Dreux (F) the conditions are for everybody the same. Wet. ‘Vieux Renard’ (Old Fox) Jean-Luc Pailler won in 2007 the French Championship here at Dreux. His son Fabienne won in 2011 the last race of the French Championship. So far the Dreux-circuit has been good for the family Pailler.

But as a veteran in rallycross, Jean-Luc Pailler knows that anything can happen in a European Rallycross event. Looking back on the first  event of 2011, the ERC race in Lydden Hill, the event was good says Pailler. “The weather conditions were really terrible in Lydden. The the front windscreen was full of mud and then…”, with a smile on his face, “… and old man brake”. The conditions are for everybody the same”, says Pailler. We French drivers drove here in October under dry conditions. It’s going to be the first time in the wet for all drivers present here at Dreux.

The team of Pailler spend more the a day to clean the Peugeot 207 ERC. “The nwe took out the gearbox and engine. Cleaned every part very carefully and put it together to prevent technical failure here in Dreux. “But you never know…”, he says.
