Holte waits

“Will Holte and MCM re-consider joining forces for a winning program? With only two months until opening day, will FHM and MCM give the fans another winning, and exciting, long term program?”

Two questions posted on Facebook by Michael Crawford Motorsports and accompanied by the additional statement: “MCM continues to reach out and offer Frode Holte and opportunity to drive a partial schedule with the long term goal of a Global team presence.”

These questions come after the split, earlier this month that led the Norwegian racer to return his Volvo C30 Supercar to Europe.

So, we thought we’d give Holte a call and see what he had to say. “I don’t understand what they want with a message like that, I really don’t,” was Holte’s first reaction. But would he return to America and give this thing a second shot? “I might go back to the USA, if  something positive happens in a very short time. But I’m sad to say that I don’t see it happening now and I don’t see this happening quickly with the information and knowledge that I have at the moment. Remember, when I decided to bring the car back to Norway I was threatened by several lawsuits. A second point in this is: if things were so good, I would have been in the USA for racing and not in Norway as I am now,” said Holte.

The ERC Volvo C30 Supercar of Holte is still in a ship on its way to Norway. “It is expected to arrive on March 6, I’m trying to make plans to race in the ERC but there is no way that I will be at Lydden Hill for the first round, the time to prepare the car is too short,” said Holte. “The option that can open things for me is that this team gives me the money as spoken and agreed. For me at this point there is nothing to discuss and everybody involved in this case knows that. I don’t understand the questions they put on Facebook. They know my decision about how and what.”
