Rosendahl to do nine of ten ERC rounds

Swede Lars Rosendahl recently announced his plans to take part in both, this year’s European as well as Swedish Rallycross Championships. As round one of the SRC (Höljes on May 26) is clashing with the Austrian ERC round at Greinbach the 58-year-old is looking forward to do nine out of the ten European rounds. Last year the Ford campaigner used a newly built Fiesta VII TouringCar in five of the ten Euro rounds, scoring his two best results in Holland (8th place overall) and the Czech Republic (7th) to eventually claim the 15th place of the FIA series.

The veteran racer from the small village of Vallbyvik, situated to the north of Sweden’s capital Stockholm, started his motorsport career back in the 1970s, rallying a BMW 2002 through the Swedish woods. Before starting to concentrate on Rallycross Lasse Rosendahl participated in Folkrace events, Enduro competitions as well as the 400cc Quad class of Iceracing (driven on frozen lakes). “But now we focus on our 2012 ERC programme in a very serious way and our aim is to finish high in the point standings,” claimed the team spokesman of Rosendahl Motorsport.
