The Magnificent Seven

Seven Supercar drivers are still in the title game.
With two more ERC rounds to come in the Supercar category there are currently seven drivers who can still win the title: Sverre Isachsen, Timur Timerzyanov, Frode Holte, Tanner Foust [even with an ‘Exclusion’ for Holland], Mats Lysen, Liam Doran and Toomas Heikkinen. While in the Super1600 class only Andreas Bakkerud and Ulrik Linnemann can do that, in the TouringCar class there are four drivers still in the title game: Lars Øivind Enerberg, Roman Častoral, Koen Pauwels and Derek Tohill. The quickest decision could bring the ninth round at Sosnová in the Czech Republic the coming weekend where Andreas Bakkerud just needs a place among the top three finishers to claim his first FIA title. The third place in S1600 would actually be enough for the Norwegian as Danish Peugeot campaigner Ulrik Linnemann, even in case of a point tie, can not overcome the Renault driver’s three 2011 overall victories.
