BRC racers appear at Dom Yates Memorial event.

In the middle of a lengthy summer break for the British championship, the Autosport International BTRDA Clubmans Championship continues its season at Blyton this weekend with the Dom Yates Memorial event. Named after 19-year-old club racer Dom Yates who was killed in a road accident last December, the event is the fourth round of the BTRDA championship.

Taking advantage of the summer date an opportunity to get some test miles under their belts are Simon Horton who will give his new Subaru Impreza Supercar its debut outing before moving on to the British championship event at Lydden at the end of August. Horton has built the new car himself, incoporating the lessons learned from his first Impreza. Also testing in the event ahead of the August Bank Holiday Monday BRC round at Lydden is Andy Knowles who has carried out further development work on his Super1600 Citroën C2.

After three events the championship is led by Scotsman Ian Biagi in his lightweight Mini.
