FIA NEZ championship, Vilkyčiai

Antonsen, Frøshaug, Nitišs and Navickas winning in Lithuania.

The opening round of the 2011 FIA Northern European Zone Championship took place on July 23 and 24 at the Vilkyčiai Trasa of Vilkyčiai in Lithuania. Reigning champion Camilla Antonsen from Norway underlined with another victory that she is ready to defend her 4WD category title. Her compatriot Ola Frøshaug did the same among the Open class competitors, another win to score the first 20 points on his way to bag the third consecutive NEZ title. The podium of the NEZ 2000 category was an all Latvian affair and taken by Reinis Nitišs, Jānis Berķis and Martinš Porietis, while the victory of the NEZ 1600 class went to the master of the house, Lithuanian Vaidas Navickas.
