Rocky start for Holten

Norwegian teen first in trouble.
Teenage Super1600 racer Daniel Holten was the first of the quick guys to experience problems this morning, his Citroën Saxo KitCar being recovered to the paddock on a breakdown truck after he slid off the track in the first free practice session. Having already had a major crash this year, and a non-score in last weekend’s Norwegian round of the championship, Holten was clearly unhappy about starting his event in such away, and not very impressed to have a camera pointed in his face to boot.
“Yes, I think we have spare parts to fix it,” he managed to replay while the damaged car was returned to his team who are now trying to get it back in action in time for the second free session – the only saving grace the team may have is that the event is running around 30-minutes late as a result of the support race, postponed from last night, being shoehorned into today’s programme.
