Pastrana’s X Games Subaru

Anyone out there think the Americans are taking themselves too seriously? Just get a look at Travis Pastrana’s launch video for his X Games Subaru.

Subaru Rally Team USA will run action sports icon Travis Pastrana in X Games 17 this summer.  Pastrana will pilot one of the team’s new 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Rallycross cars on the streets of Los Angeles in the Rallycross segment of the event. Pastrana drove for Subaru from the start of his rally career and gained four consecutive Rally America driver’s championships and over twenty victories at the wheel of a Subaru before leaving the sport at the end of 2010 to try his hand at NASCAR. Pastrana will drive the latest evolution of the team’s new STI Rallycross car which has been tested and developed extensively by Subaru Rally Team USA drivers David Higgins and Dave Mirra, Higgins taking second overall in last weekend’s third round of the series at Pikes Peak International Raceway near Colorado Springs.
