Ramler, Petrakovits, Breiteneder and Častoral claiming Greinbach wins.

Round 4 of the Austrian Rallycross Championship took place last weekend at the PS Motor Center at Greinbach and counted also as third round for the Czech Rallycross Championship. Reigning Austrian champion Alois Höller was excluded from the Supercar A final after he produced a jump start. The Ford Focus driver later claimed that he has not been aware of a rule change for this year that demands the immediate disqualification of the guilty deemed competitor now while in the past the first jump start resulted in a warning only. However, as Höller was awarded championship points and both strong opponents for the title, Czech Otakar Výborný and fellow Austrian Jürgen Weiß were not able to score points due to their early retirements from the event Höller was quite happy in taking 12 points home.

The victory of the Supercar category was eventually claimed by Seat Leon driver Peter Ramler, runner-up became Mitsubishi Lancer campaigner Aleš Mrkáček, thereby taking the lead of the Austrian series over from Jürgen Weiß. While the Super1600 class saw a home win of Christian Petrakovits and his from the ERC known VW Polo that man Patrick Breiteneder used his front-wheel driven Honda Civic to score his third consecutive victory in the TouringCar category [in Austria also open to Group N cars up to 2000cc]. The SuperNational class was once again ruled by Roman Častoral and his Opel Astra OPC, compatriot Tomáš Hurt drove his Citroën C2 to second place.
