Scirocco blowing soon

Volkswagen Supercar eligible for Rallycross now.
Yesterday, on May 26, the latest ‘List of cars not homologated with the FIA but eligible in Supercars, Super1600 and TouringCars’ has been published by the FIA. It includes the Volkswagen Scirocco 2.0 TSI, but to be used as a Supercar only. The new list followed one that was published by FIA only two days earlier [on May 24], including the Dacia Sandero 1.6MPI for the first time. Thereby, the long awaited VW Scirocco can officially be raced in Rallycross from now on. Former European champion Ronny Scheveneels from Belgium has presented his Supercar Scirocco already during the Belgian ERC round at Maasmechelen in August 2010. At the end of February ex-Rallycrosser Tommy Kristoffersson drove an over 620bhp strong four-wheel driven Scirocco made by Michael Jernberg during a Swedish press meeting over the ice of a frozen lake.
