Nordgård out

Engine problems halt Norwegian TouringCar racer.
Having made a real impression with solid results in the first three rounds of the European Rallycross Championship, young Norwegian TouringCar racer David Nordgård has endured two miserable weekends in Scandinavia and has made an early exit from this week’s Swedish race with engine failure in his Focus.
“One of the main oil pipes came off the engine and it ran without oil. I’m not 100% sure yet but I think it’s totally destroyed – a disaster,” said Nordgård. “Last weekend was terrible too. I hoped for much better than this in our home events, specially after we had a good start to the year in Britain, Portugal and France. Now I don’t know about the rest of the year, I need to see what damage there is to the engine.”
